This fake frame thing. I don't like it.It could end up like the predictive text on what's app. Broken. 😛

This game includes pathtracing. I guess without that it will continue running at 4K60 without any major difficulty.

nah fam a "potato"(see: 3060 or whatever close) cant run it at 4k60fps at higher graphics. Especially with the pathtracing and other gimmick which takes resourced and barely makes the game look better.

It will be another game showcasing the issue with the 16gb vram cards not being able to run nightmare textures and PT same as Indiana.

Well, since were talking about things not yet available I'll just claim DLLS4 will make all your VRAM anxieties go away.

Good luck trying the max out the game with PT on anything less than a 5090 and maybe 4090. Other cards will get a Vram limited. Just test the Indiana on your 4080 and see what im talking about.

I was fine btw, for the 30 minutes I played.Like most other people with a late model Nvidia GPU, 16GB VRAM has been a total non issue. It is nowhere near the big issue you claim tbh. I lived with a 16GB VRAM card for over 2 years now and nothing I play has suffered because of it. And I try most if not all modern AAA titles. But I will test more, once I get a 5080 and can implement things more.Things are heading in to the next level with the hard and software with the 5000's from NV.Time will tell. And times are changing.

couldnt tell you 5 games that I've seen go above 16Gbs and I'm not even sure one or more of the resident evil remake and stalker 2 i think ?I play 4k 120Hz vsyncmy modded skyrim which has 4k gloves boots helmet chest etc...by part only takes 9Gbs don't have a 4k screenshot right now i cleaned my folder but here's a 1080p this in 4k and you can zoom to contact it will still looks ultra HQ unlike retail games only takes 8gbs vram...devs need to work better, my textures are like 57Mbs per item it's gigantic for a part of 1 armor

Saw a comment somewhere about if the card does not come with a game then it's a bit too expensive. Really hope they come with 1 game at least

With RT and maxed settings? I don't think so....o_OAt any rate, Doom The Dark Ages looks like they are kicking up the visual fidelity several notches. The combat pace is much slower than Doom Eternal, and there is a massive increase in scale and across all parameters of visual fidelity.

Yes, games from ID themselves are extremely optimized technical masterpieces. DOOM eternal was crazy, sorry but 1440p all maxed, raytracing and 180fps in insane battles on a damned 3080 is wizardry. Anyway, ofc next doom will take things even further, as mentioned, it will have more open areas, more monster, higher levels of detail, fidelity, effects, textures... So I absolutely dont expect DOOM Dark to run as well on my 3080 as Eternal. At all. I expect that u will need 16gb VRAM to play it maxed with RT. With PT, it will need 4090+ to get some decent framerate. But what I expect is, that even on 3080, when set up properly, it will look and play better than Eternal. The more HW u throw at the game, the more crazy it will get. ID are one of the last, if not last, really competent studio in terms of tech, optimization etc. Nobody can touch em. Most of the big studios degenerated to a level they cant use their own engines. Thats the FACT. Thats why they all move to UE5 - because they hire new "devs" who can only work with that.

I tried. Its not that bad in terms of performance, but visually, it leaves much to be desired. Esp the shadow/LOD pop-in is a bad joke. You really should not be forced to use PathTracing to get rid of that atrocity. But ID are different devs. They will use their own engine much better than Machineworks did anyway 🙂

Using higher settings or PT takes alot more resources. It basically becomes one of the most demanding games. They recommend a minimum 12gb vram but thats with a medium textures. As for visuals i agree, alot to be desired. UE5 games like Stalker 2 to me look much better.

Thing is Nvidia RT in Wukong doesn't need much VRAM, benchmark runs without VRAM related issues for me in 4k DLSS P + FG.The devil knows why most other engines are coded that poorly. Btw. Fortnite also runs fine with 4k TSR Performance Nanite + Lumen/VSM high and max. textures, on an 8GB 5700 XT...

Becouse textures in Wukong suck. Even DF called it out and i showed the same issue in Hellblade 2. Nanite geometry and textures needs to get better. Stalker 2 looks better than those two and uses more Vram.Whats the point of PT lightning when your textures look like this? The overall presentation suffers becouse of it.https://i.imgur.com/lzUUxND.png
